Poetry: If I Stay

If I Stay: Poetry

If I stay, would that matter?
Will my absence make your soul shatter?

If I fall, would you be there to pick me up?
Or will you just stand there and watch me come apart?

If I love you, would you love me back?
Or will your soul drink away my love and leave my body shallow?

If I get lost, would you find me?
Or will you just let my soul wander in the valley of crestfallen?

If I won’t be pretty anymore, would you still keep me?
Or will you just abandon me and leave?

If I get blind, would you help me see the universe through your eyes?
Or will you just let me stay in the darkness, where my soul belongs?

If I leave you, would you follow me to get me back?
Or will you just let me go like the clouds let go of the raindrops?

If I die, would you miss me?
Or will you just bury my corpse and move on?

If tomorrow comes, would you still want me as much as I want you?
Or will your heart fall for someone else like the bee’s heart fall for a different flower everyday?
